jamcorder is a transformative new way to record your digital piano. truly set & forget, you never need to hit record. instead, just open the app and all your music is conveniently already there. and we mean all of it. jamcorder stores 25,000 hours of music — around 3 straight years — right out of the box. so you can focus on playing and just jam away.
easier than having to hit record — jamcorder is always on, always capturing. you'll never say "i wish i recorded that" again. you can just play naturally.
the most convenient way to access your music
see great ideas you had, or where you want to improve.
tap the top 5 black keys twice anytime to leave a bookmark
have fun adding to your collection
share full songs, short segments, or even the entire day. share audio, midi, and generate videos with fun video effects.
revel at how much you've played. it's incredibly motivational.
jamcorder is great for capturing improptu improvisations, tracking & reviewing practice sessions, and capturing strokes of genius so you can turn serendipitous ideas into finished compositions.
unlike most recorders, jamcorder doesn’t capture audio. instead, jamcorder plugs into your piano via midi, and transcribes every note you play — including its velocity — in midi format. these recordings sync to your phone via bluetooth, or can be accessed via sd card - the app is optional. this music format is tiny, letting 12 hours of music fit in the same space as one smartphone photo.

recording everything allows you to scroll back to any moment in time, letting you focus on playing, not the record button. you can always manually delete old recordings, if desired.
yes, simply unplug it. but it's recommended you instead shift your thinking — focus on playing, not recording, and use bookmarks.
no. jamcorder stops recording after 3 seconds of piano silence, and resumes immediately when you start playing, with no lost notes. the original silences can also be 'restored' later, if desired.
jamcorder is the opposite of a traditional recorder.
instead of before, with jamcorder you mark music after you record it
by leaving bookmarks and adding it to an album.
if that's not enough, stay tuned! more tools like
grouping by chords, songs, melodies, faster navigation, & search, are planned!
phones are a great option for occasional recording, but they don't record automatically, they don't show the notes you played, they don't track your playing history. inspired by the convenience of a phone, jamcorder is a natural step up.
jamcorder is powered by usb. you can use a usb ac adapter, or some pianos have a spare usb port already. jamcorder comes with a 6' usb type-a to usb type-b power cable.
yes. just pop in a larger card. for example, a 64GB card would record 100,000 hours, 11 straight years.
no. you can also access your recordings directly from the sd card. and by using wifi setup you can access recordings, set date & time, etc, without the app.
yes, it's easy to connect both jamcorder and a pc or tablet at the same time
so that they both receive midi data.
using blueooth midi
all jamcorder devices support bluetooth midi.

it can still work with an adapter. you simply install a sensor bar below the keys. here are some options: Bechstein, ProRecord, QRS PNOScan, or Hi-Lite. there are also acoustic pianos with built-in midi support, such as the Yamaha Disklavier and Kawai AnyTime.
it's used for factory reset, wifi setup, & manual firmware updates
